Providing a capacity-building framework to
create effective prison work strategies
between prison services and
private industries.

Systematic Transition from
Prison into to Labour Market
About STEP2LAB
Prison work has been a recurrent topic for many national and European projects throughout the past years. STEP2LAB intends to complement those projects by working with prison services and private industries requiring human resources.

The project’s objective is to support these industry actors in creating effective and collaborative social and labour reintegration roadmaps for incarcerated individuals.

The programme is aimed at individuals serving short sentences or at the end-of-sentence. Moreover, the target is a young audience with the goal of capacitating and motivating them to pursue a professional career and follow a sustainable, law-abiding living project.
